Here is an photograph of the corner of my living room. The credenza is made from mostly found material. The wallpaper is hand painted in a variety of orange/cream tones. The buddha was found many years ago and has been with me now for quite awhile now. The hanging light has a yellow bulb in it that represents the sun and really warms the corner of the room.......

My Small World Credenza is featured in the current issue (November 2011) of 7 X 7 Magazine. The article, Fashion Furniture, features some other great Bay Area furniture and industrial designers. The photography, modeling, photo styling and fashion is super fun and pop-tastic. Thanks to Leilani Marie Lebong for the invite.

A nice article about me from Studios Magazine....

I have a new show of work up until September 25th at Park Life in San Francisco.

The work is a continuation of my previous designs that are influenced by and incorporate repurposed items but, with a much deeper push into other notions that have helped shaped the direction of my thinking about art and design. The process to fabricate the designs also switched to a more sculptural one as well, the compositions evolved as work progressed.

Here is a rough first draft for a media and storage wall for a client in San Francisco.

Here is version one of a new couch design for a client in Los Angeles.

Most folks that know of my work think of me as a furniture maker per se and that is true, but it all starts with imaginings of what might be possible. I do this by way of drawing, lots of drawing.

A client asked me to design a media storage credenza for their Oakland California bungalow. They were keen on Danish furniture so I used that as jumping off point. Instead of one single piece of furniture, I suggested we create a corner design, this way we could keep the design low and still get a lot of storage.

One goal of the design was to create a very connected feeling even though the two pieces are separate and free standing.

"Mystery House" and two other designs will be on view at the SF Fine Art Fair in Fort Mason. Propeller Modern and myself set up a tight living room, lounge space in the mezzanine area with a great view of the bay and the GG Bridge. Stop in if you visit the fair. The show starts Friday and is open through the weekend. artMRKT at the Concourse Exhibition Center is also happening if you want a big art weekend in SF.
